Immature masculinity characterizes men who are not

Immature masculinity characterizes men who are not responsible TO others, nor responsible FOR others. But rather men who are in service to their own ego and to their own selfish ends.

They are immature because they are not generative, they don’t uplift others, they don’t create anything, or add value, or bless, or serve anyone or anything else.

It is the masculinity of little boys in men's bodies, often a galloping narcissism that's only bent on satisfying adolescent desires and satisfying them immediately, demanding everything from others, and giving little or nothing in return.

It is immature masculinity that the world often labels as “toxic,” and, frankly, it is toxic; I can’t argue with that.

It's also why I do men’s work: to help men grow up, to mature, so that they can have flourishing lives and contribute meaningfully to others.
